The Tour of the Peloponnese has been organized since 2006 and, traditionally, takes place every four years in the year preceding Paris–Brest–Paris (PBP). In its early editions, it was organized as a preparatory brevet for PBP. The event is held over the Holy Spirit (Pentecost) long weekend, which is a public holiday in Greece. For much of its length, the route follows the distinctive coastline of the Peloponnese, with many kilometers offering spectacular views of the sea. It will be self-supported and riders must arrange all of their accommodations before, during the ride and after the finish.
