Brevet 2000

The most accessible distance award, and a natural target once you have ridden a full SR series. A 200, 300, 400 and 600 gives you 1,500 km. Add a couple of permanents or an extra BRM and you are there. Every qualifying ride adds to the total.

Brevet 5000

A serious commitment that typically means riding most weekends and several longer events. Reaching 5,000 km means averaging roughly 420 km a month for 12 months. In practice, most of the distance comes from the main BRM calendar (March to September), with permanents filling the quieter winter months. A PBP year helps: the 1,200 km from PBP alone covers nearly a quarter of the target.

One award per season

You receive one tier or the other, not both. If you reach 5,000 km, the Brevet 5000 replaces the Brevet 2000 for that season. These are end-of-season awards: after 31 October the tracker records the highest tier you reached.

From the road: Use the projection toggle on the Progress page to see whether your planned rides will get you to 2,000 or 5,000 km. If you are short, the calendar award impact preview can help you find events that close the gap.
