SR600 (Super Randonnée 600)

The SR600 is a lifetime achievement award for completing a Super Randonnée 600 km route, a challenging ride through mountainous terrain with significant climbing. Unlike other awards, the SR600 is not about accumulating distance or completing a series. It is about finishing one specific, demanding ride.

Rides that count
SR600 Original and SR600 Modern
When
Any time. Each completion is recorded.

The tracker groups two different kinds of completion under these app labels:

SR600 Original

The original format: 600 km permanent routes with at least 10,000 metres of total elevation gain. These are ridden individually on a date of your choosing, with no group start. Two modes are available:

  • Randonneur mode: 60-hour time limit, similar to a standard BRM
  • Tourist mode: Minimum 75 km per day, allowing a more relaxed multi-day approach

Super Randonnées homologated through 31 October 2022 can contribute additional distance to ACP 5000 and 10000 within their qualifying periods. Later SR600 Original rides still count as SR600 completions in the tracker, but do not add distance to these ACP awards.

SR600 Modern

The tracker’s label for 600 km BRM calendar events with at least 8,000 metres of elevation gain, organised as official BRM events with a 40-hour time limit. Because they are BRM events, these rides count as BRMs for ACP awards. “SR600 Modern” is not an official Super Randonnée format.

The tracker records each SR600 completion separately and shows your history on the Achievements page. Well-known SR600 routes include the Vosges, Dolomites, and Pyrénées.

From the road: SR600 is not a ride type you select. The tracker derives it from the ride type, distance, and elevation you enter. The Managing Rides guide explains how to enter one.
