International Super Randonneur

A Super Randonneur series, 200, 300, 400 and 600, with each ride in a different country. It’s awarded by Les Randonneurs Mondiaux (LRM), there’s no time limit, and rides from years ago count. Ireland can be one of your four countries.

How it works

A longer ride can fill a shorter slot: a 1,000 in Germany can be your 400, or Paris-Brest-Paris your 600. The United Kingdom is one country, so England, Scotland and Wales give you one slot between them, unlike the 4 Nations SR, which counts each separately. You can earn more than one ISR with fresh rides.

Tiers and continents

Your rides earn the highest tier they reach. Rides on more than one continent add a suffix: 2C, 3C or 4C, so three 600s in Europe and a 1,000 in North America make an ISR 600 (2C). ISR 1200 is the most common tier on LRM’s honour roll, with rides of 1,200 km and more running in over thirty countries each year.

Northern Ireland is a question for now: the tracker counts a ride there as Ireland, but LRM counts countries by where the ride took place. Check with LRM’s ISR coordinator before relying on it.

Applying

• The Audax.ie tracker lists your rides, ready to copy in, once you’ve done it: sign in with Strava. The form is linked from LRM’s ISR page, and asks for each ride’s organiser, distance, date, country and homologation number.
• LRM’s ISR coordinator checks it and adds you to the honour roll. A brevet card and patch are optional, for $10.
• Checking your results shows where each number comes from.

In the tracker

The ISR tab on your progress page shows the basic ISR and each higher tier, with the continents your rides cover. It picks the combination of rides that reaches the highest tier. When you claim, it gives you a list of the rides to copy into LRM’s form; the claiming awards help has the steps.
