The Audax season
The Audax year doesn’t start in January. It runs from 1 November to 31 October, and most awards count within it. Knowing where its edges fall is most of planning a season.

November to October
It’s the year Audax Club Parisien runs brevets on, and Audax UK uses the same. The 2025/26 season runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026, so a ride on 5 November 2025 and one on 15 October 2026 are in the same season, while one on 10 November 2026 starts the next.
Some things still run on the calendar year. Cycling Ireland licences and Audax Ireland membership end on 31 December, and a “2026 calendar” includes November and December events that count towards 2026/27.

200s run all year, including one to three a month through the winter. 300s and 400s start around April and often run on the same day, 600s run from May to August, and the Easter Flèche falls in March or April. Longer rides come some years: Míle Fáilte 1200 ran in June 2026, and a 1,000 is planned for 2027. The training guide shows what each distance adds.

4 Provinces is the exception: it counts over the calendar year, January to December. The ACP awards count from your first ride, while the tracker looks back from today; ACP awards in the tracker explains the difference.
Around 1 November
A 200 on 25 October and a 300 on 5 November are eleven days apart but in different seasons, so they can’t make the same Super Randonneur series. An RRTY streak carries straight across the line. After 31 October, the tracker records your Brevet 2000 or 5000 for the season that’s just ended.
This year the line matters for Paris-Brest-Paris too: your longest brevet by 31 October 2026 sets your pre-registration date, and qualifying opens on 1 November.
Planning a season
- Super Randonneur: ride the 200 early, and know where the backup 600s are. With the last one usually in August, a June DNF still leaves time.
- RRTY: plan November and December first, when there are fewest events. A permanent covers a month the calendar or the weather doesn’t.
- One ride, several awards: a 300 can count towards Super Randonneur, Brevet 2000, 4 Provinces and RRTY at once.
